Loctite 7400 Provides clear visual indication for electronic applications
Loctite product 7400 is a solvent based dark red marking ink for use on electronic equipment. The product dries quickly and has excellent adhesion to a range of materials. It is ideal for tamperproofing adjustment points or marking components to indicate they have been set or tested. Physical Properties. Chemical type Pigmented organic polymer Appearance Red Liquid Flash pt -16°C ( Closed Cup ) Shelf Life 24 months at R.T. Viscosity 600 mPa.s Instructions for use. Apply product 7400 to the surface. Thin films of product (100 micron) will dry in approx. 5 mins to a tack free surface at room temperature. Thicker films will dry on the surface in approx. 5 mins but will require a longer time for through drying. Product 7400 will be completely dry in approx 6 hours. Product can be removed by wiping with solvents eg MEK or butyl acetate while it is still liquid. Keep containers sealed when not in use to avoid solvent loss. Loctite coating 7400 dries by the evaporation of solvent to leave a pigmented film of organic polymer. When fully dried, 7400 has excellent visibility and shows good adhesion to a wide range of polymers and metals.
